Easiest Healthy Chocolate Recipe… Ever.
Driven by the monthly desire for chocolate, I invented this whilst holidaying in the Mentawais. Of course the kids devoured them within seconds! And I don’t blame them. They actually turned out to be delicious. I kept making them until our ration of cocoa powder and coconut oil eventually ran out!
I never measured the ingredients so I urge you to follow your intuition. I think it’s a pretty forgiving recipe and the taste will come down to how rich you like chocolate and also how sweet. The choice is yours!
Feel free to add luxury extras like salt, vanilla, spirulina, peppermint essential oil, cinnamon or nuts. Hemp seeds might go nicely.
My version went something like this:
¼ cup melted coconut oil
¼ cup pure cocoa powder
3 tbsp coconut sugar
2 tbsp coconut cream
Whizz up in a blender until smooth and pour into an ice cube tray. Set in the freezer for 30 mins - 2 hours or until firm.
